Drs. Gijs Langevoort
Drs. Langevoort earned his M.D. from the Free University of Amsterdam and a M.S. in Management for Organizations in Sports at the University of Lyon, France. He founded LanCon as a start to a second career. A retinal problem ended his successful career as an orthopedic surgeon with focus on sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery. He was a Board member of:
- The Dutch Center for Doping Control,
- The Dutch Basketball Federation.
- International and Olympic Affairs of the Royal Dutch Baseball Federation
Sjoerd officially joined LanCon at the end of 2011, but is not a stranger to the company. He worked at numerous “ Hammers Summer Hoops” Basketball camps, Field hockey showcases and has toured with the European Model of Sport program in an earlier stage.
Sjoerd has a degree in Marketing and Communication with a Minor in Event Management.
During his sport career he played as a professional basketball player in the Netherlands and got selected for the Youth National team and the National team of the Netherlands.
Ross is faculty member of the University of Tampa Sport Management. With his 30 years of sport business experience he has managed or assisted with events in over 30 different sports including athletics at the Atlanta Olympic and Paralympic Games. He has been a featured speaker at sport business conferences in the USA, Japan, England and the Netherlands.
Has earned his M.S. in European Masters in Sports Organization Management - MEMOS from IOC (Lausanne, Switzerland) and M.S. in Management of Sport Organizations from URL - Universitat Blanquerna (Barcelona, Spain). He worked as operation manager's assistant at the World Swimming Championships in Barcelona 2003 a few time after he became a personal consultant of the sports minister of Panamá Republic. He has run as a director in several sport and fitness clubs in Catalonia. Currently, He is developing strategy and marketing consultancy for a firm in Barcelona. He is representing LanCon for the South of Europe.
